I was invited by Sheryll of Suesh Makeup Toolkit to join their Basic Makeup Workshop at their Alabang Town Center branch. I was ecstatic and it was because of two things: I meant to attend the exact workshop and it’s near my place. So last Saturday, off to Suesh I went!

I am no expert in applying makeup and I have no idea which brush is which but I do have my way of applying my personal makeup, and thankfully it works for me. Thus I needed this workshop.

Ms. Suzanne Tan, Japan-trained makeup artist, was our mentor that afternoon. First was the basics and lecture, showed us a demo on what and what not to do and of course, the hands-on. It was quite intimidating to apply makeup in her presence, I had to keep on asking if I was doing it right. Good thing she was patient and gladly attended to our questions.

The workshop focused on three topics: bare, day and night.

On bare, I learned that your makeup would last longer if you use a primer, foundation, concealer then top it off with powder. The next was day and night with the eyes as the main attraction.

I don’t really travel much so packing is not my expertise. As I was organizing the clothes that I’ll bring to a 5-days and 4-nights vacation, it dawned to me that I also had to bring accessories, and lots of it. 

Good thing I remembered that I have this accessory case from Envy Fashion+Accessories. It was compact so it didn’t take up too much space in my bag. With 6 compartments, I was able to bring the much needed ‘blings’.

The response has been positive to date, so she decided (with a heavy heart), to close down Fashion Global and focus on The Style Quarter. Her team includes Ida, Creative Consultant, and Rayshel, PR.
