On our second day, I was very much delighted because Taipei Zoo was on our itinerary!

image

The zoo was huge! There was so much to look at that you have to devote one whole day just to see all of them. We only had half a day so we weren’t able to see all.

Whacha lookin’ at?

It’s a koala! Hello there cute thing!

There were more animals to see but due to time constraints, we skipped to the main attraction: panda and penguins!

Afterwards, we rode a train to Maokong Gondola to ride the cable cars to Maokong.

Didn’t get to take much photos here though. Next stop, Ximending!

We were on a quest to find the much raved about Modern Toilet Restaurant. We circled the place plenty of times because we had no idea where it is. Luckily, a kind local helped us find it. He couldn’t speak English so he led us there instead.

Ordered a Toilet # 1 ice cream! Want to see what it looks likes? I took an instagram photo here.

Copied my mom’s signature photo ;p Hi Mom!

While we were walking around, it is still haunting me. See the billboard on that building? I was supposed to watch Batman before I fly to Taiwan but it was too late. *cries*

For dinner, we had sushi at Sushi Express. It was my first time to eat at a sushi place with a conveyor belt to deliver your food. It was oh so cool! I was able to finish up 4 plates of sushi. If I wasn’t so full from all the street food I ate earlier, I would have eaten more.

Since it was only 10pm, I asked Paige if we could walk around our neighborhood. We spotted this food place with a lot of customers. It was a full house and there’s a long line that reached outside of the store. I thought to myself that what they’re serving should be delicious for them to have so many diners. Even though I had no idea on what they offered, I lined up like everybody else and ordered…

image

A big bowl of halo-halo! It was only 55NT (around Php 70+) and it was as big as my face. I wasn’t at all disappointed because I’ve always loved halo-halo.

I’m a happy kid indeed!
