After our Night of Christmas event at Starbucks’ Rockwell Drive, Bea and I already had plans of going to UST’s Paskuhan with friends and dinner at Old Swiss. Since our friends decided not to show up (you know who you are, haha), we decided to ditch our plans and just find a place nearby to have dinner and relax. Luckily enough, I saw a Cantinetta just a few steps away. I remember Mom told me once before that food was great there and so we went.

For some reason in which I cannot disclose, we were feeling down, sulky and have unpleasant personal issues to discuss. When we got there, it was nice, cozy and perfect for the mood. But then upon looking at the menu, we practically laughed. It was ironic that we’ve been eating Php 50 McDo and KFC meals for weeks only to find ourselves in a fancy restaurant afterwards. We just sucked it up, covered our eyes for what our total bill might cost and just ordered what our heart pleases.

I went for Ai Porcini Risotto (Php 320) with porcini mushrooms and parmesan cheese. Bea ordered Braciole alla Calabrese (Php 525) which is pork loin stewed in red wine sauce served with roasted potatoes. We shared of course.

We had no regrets! Super kaduper girl talk to the max with super kaduper yummy food. It’s funny that we talked about really serious personal matters despite the fact that we’re both very jolly and childlike. I guess sometimes you just have to let it out. It was nice having that talk with her. In my opinion, she gives the best explanations and advice ;)

When it was time to settle the bill, we got back to our normal selves and just laughed it off, haha!
