Anonymous asked: Hi Ms. Erika! I want to ask for a bit of an advice. i have really curly hair maybe just like yours and I've been rebonding it since high school but I realized that it's so costly and damaging so i want to learn how to love my natural curls. problem is, it's too big or buhaghag and I don't know what to do with it. I envy your hair kasi you can just let it down like that. i cant even dye my hair kasi baka lalong madamage. so ayun, any advice po? or salon that i can go to/products i can use? thanks
Hi Anon :) I’ve also rebonded my hair during my high school and 3/4 of my college years. After a while, I forgot what my hair really looks like so I decided to let it grow. When it got long enough, I had the straight part and and voila! My lovely curly hair showed.

Here’s a photo of how my hair looked like after the haircut.
I don’t have any secret to my hair. Since it’s naturally curly, after I wash it in the morning, I just put on styling mousse and scrunch away! I’m currently using VO5 Curl Defining Mousse and I love it :)
EDIT: I had my haircut at Frank Provost Alabang. I forgot who the stylist was but he did a terrific job. He knows how to handle curly hair and I was beyond amazed with the result.
Let me know how it goes with yours. It just takes patience and confidence to pull it off;) I’m sure you’d be able to do it as well.
